Magical Cape Town Vacations is one family's experiences of Cape Town - the bits that keep drawing us back year after year. Our sons hardly know anywhere else, and after 13 years still say "can't wait to come back" immediately on returning to the airport for the flight home, infact tearing them away is the worst part of the year!
These are just some of the wonderful things we have done on our visits and we hope to introduce you to many more to make your own vacation magical.
- Carols by Candlelight on the slopes of Table Mountain, sitting in the warm, open air with your picnic spread out around you
- Incredible walks along soft, sandy beaches
- Water-skiing on inland lakes
- Watching the sun go down over the sea, whilst having dinner by candlelight. Does a flash of green really happen when the sun enters the sea?
- Long, lazy afternoons sipping wine at a pretty wine estate, selecting just the right wine for dinner or arranging for a case to be sent home
- Swimming first in the cold Atlantic Ocean then a short car journey to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Is it really possible to swim with penguins?
- Spotting Dassies on the top of Table Mountain
- Watching "Eddie" Egret wading up and down searching for lunch in the Lagoon
- Sitting at a pavement café in the Waterfront, watching the seals doze on the ships' fenders or lazily diving and rolling to entertain you
